WESSON Releases “Stay the Same” Acoustic EP

British Indie Alt Rock band WESSON, led by singer/songwriter Chris Wesson, has recently dropped their four-track acoustic EP titled “Stay the Same.” Based in Milton Keynes, the four-piece band was formed with the shared goal of creating relatable, conversational, and meaningful music. Alongside bassist Callum, guitarist Jimmy, and drummer Dale, WESSON’s music reflects their dedication to infusing music into their everyday lives and being.

“Stay the Same” features three songs from their 2023 album, “All We Are,” along with a brand new single of the same title. The title track, “Stay the Same,” offers a perspective on individuals who struggle to see the positive aspects of life and often seek external sources to lift their spirits. The song captures the essence of a person who is ungrateful and unable to appreciate the good in life, praying for change but finding that things either worsen or simply remain unchanged.

Sonically, “Stay the Same” draws inspiration from 60’s bands, particularly The Kinks, and presents a laid-back, easy-listening track that showcases WESSON’s versatility. The EP’s soft, layered harmonies and organic instrumentation create an infectious sound that resonates with listeners, drawing them into the storytelling lyrics. The release has received an overwhelming response on social media platforms, with fans and strangers alike praising WESSON’s music and likening them to the modern-day Beatles.

WESSON has had the opportunity to perform across the UK, supporting artists such as Space, The Bluetones, Callum Beattie, and Lucy Spraggan. Their music has garnered acclaim from various publications, including Earmilk, Atwood Magazine, and Variance Magazine, accumulating hundreds of thousands of streams to date. “Stay the Same” is available on all major streaming platforms and will soon be available for purchase on CD.
