Cologne-based electronic producer and songwriter RCN returns with El Abismo – The Remixes, a four-track EP that takes his original May 2026 single into new sonic territory. Blending Deep House with atmospheric textures and immersive production, the project offers listeners an invitation to explore the beauty of the unknown through sound.
Following a significant year of musical activity, RCN continues to develop his distinctive approach to electronic music, placing mood and storytelling at the centre of his work. Rather than simply revisiting the original record, El Abismo – The Remixes expands its atmosphere through four reimagined versions, each contributing to a listening experience that moves between dancefloor energy and relaxed, downtempo immersion.
The EP opens with “El Abismo (Relax Remix),” establishing a mellow, atmospheric direction for the journey ahead. Warm synthesizers, deep basslines, and sensual vocals in Spanish and Portuguese shape the project’s sound, creating a rich blend of electronic rhythms and evocative textures. The production maintains a connection to the club while leaving enough space for listeners to drift into its more introspective moments.
For RCN, the project is rooted in the idea of discovering something beautiful in unfamiliar places. “It’s about finding a unique, comforting beauty in the unknown and in the depths,” he explains. That perspective gives the EP a deeper conceptual thread, turning its electronic soundscapes into an exploration of the feelings and possibilities that emerge when people allow themselves to move beyond familiar ground.
The use of Spanish and Portuguese vocals adds another layer to the experience. The project was created in Cologne, Germany, where RCN worked alongside his longtime musical partner and co-producer Airdem from their home studio. RCN has been steadily building his catalogue as an independent artist, with releases including “Velvet Void,” “Gölgeler” and the conceptual double-album series Moonside.
