Rising singer-songwriter Sophie Faith unveils her highly anticipated six-track EP, Hold My Drink, Watch This, out today under her own label Honey & Lemon Music, licensed by TLD Records. Executively produced by acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Fred Cox, this project encapsulates the highs and lows of Sophie’s late twenties, a time filled with toxic relationships, unforgettable nights, and the search for exhilaration. Its lead single, ‘KOKO’, inspired by wild nights at the iconic venue, is a vivid anthem capturing the spirit of this transformative chapter.
Sophie, now ten months sober, chose Hold My Drink, Watch This as an ode to her newfound strength and confidence. “I was fortunate to create this with amazing people I genuinely love and respect,” she shares, including favorite producers Youth XL from LA and Fred Cox, who shaped the project’s evocative soundscape.
Originally from Brighton and now settled in the countryside, Sophie’s music is a lifeline shaped by her unique experiences. Moving between London, Amsterdam, LA, and Ibiza, Sophie navigated a turbulent journey marked by loss, challenges with ADHD, and a past lifestyle of excess. Now at peace, she’s embraced a new way of life, focusing on music, wellness, and self-sufficiency, cultivating a serene environment to fuel her creativity.
Beyond her own music, Sophie actively nurtures emerging talent. She hosts showcases for rising artists at 91 Living Room and Soho House and works closely with Audio Active, a non-profit organization that fosters social change through music. A gifted collaborator, she has performed with the likes of Stormzy, Reuben James, Erick The Architect, CARRTOONS, Jay Prince, and Kwaku Asante. These artists, who she calls a second family, have inspired her and shaped her signature sound.
Since her 2017 breakout with ‘Say So’ featuring Midnight Phunk, Sophie has captivated audiences, reaching new heights with her 2022 collaboration with Stormzy on ‘Heart Is On My Sleeve’. Her latest singles—including ‘Call You,’ ‘Freudian Slips,’ ‘Dopamine,’ and ‘Missing Me’—have garnered praise from tastemakers like Victoria Jane, Target, and Jamz Supernova. This year’s Hold My Drink tour, culminating in a sold-out show at Lafayette, has further solidified her reputation as a dynamic live act.
