London-based, New York-born electronic pop artist Sofi Vonn is back with her latest single, “VOGUE”. Written by Sofi and produced by Jack Ducker (Saint Joshua, Darco Recordings), the track is a clever, tongue-in-cheek commentary on the modern obsession with media recognition and digital validation.
Inspired by Charli XCX’s Brat, “VOGUE” is a high-energy dance-pop anthem that playfully mocks the idea that an artist’s success is measured by the publications they’ve been featured in. With intentional auto-tuning and an infectious beat, the song highlights the pressures of social comparison in the digital age.
“As an independent artist, it can be hard not to compare yourself to others when you have so much access to their growth online,” says Sofi. “VOGUE was written to remind myself that although I haven’t been featured in a publication such as Vogue, you’ll still find plenty of articles about my achievements across the internet.”
Sofi Vonn has been making waves in the electronic pop scene, earning BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 6 support for her recent singles “Tired” and “With You.” Her 2024 track “Contagious” was featured in Rolling Stone Spain’s “20 Artists and Songs You Should Know” and landed on Spotify’s ‘Thailand’s Viral Hits’ playlist. Additionally, her hit “Losing Control” secured a Top Five spot on the UK Dance Chart and remained on MTV rotation for eight weeks.
With a growing catalog of bold, innovative pop tracks, Sofi Vonn continues to establish herself as a rising force in the industry. “VOGUE” drops November 22nd on all major streaming platforms.
