Matt Oakley Hits the Open Road with New Single “Party on 95”

Nashville-based country artist Matt Oakley is revving up the excitement with his latest single, “Party on 95″—a high-energy road trip anthem celebrating the thrill of the journey. Inspired by countless road trips with friends, the song is a tribute to the freedom of the open highway, particularly the legendary Interstate 95, which stretches along the East Coast.

“‘Party on 95’ is exactly what it sounds like,” explains Oakley. “A road trip anthem I wrote about all the times me and my buddies packed up the truck to hit Florida for spring break. The song is about not waiting until you get to your location to start the party. Turn on your favorite songs, roll the windows down—it’s a party on I-95.”

The song is deeply personal to Oakley, who grew up in a military household and moved frequently along the East Coast, living in Maryland, Virginia, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Florida. His experiences traveling up and down I-95 shaped his outlook, reinforcing that life isn’t just about the destination—it’s about enjoying the ride.

“Party on 95” follows Oakley’s emotionally charged previous release, “Soldier’s Son,” a moving tribute to his father and Gold Star families. With his signature storytelling, heartfelt lyrics, and Southern rock energy, Oakley continues to make his mark in country music.
