Brazil Singer-songwriter Nissu is thrilled to announce the release of his latest music video for the single “Connection.” This upbeat and motivational piece was created during the lockdown period, highlighting the power of overcoming obstacles and finding strength in our shared connections, especially during challenging times.
“Connection” was inspired by the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, where outdoor activities were limited to walks within a 5km radius. Nissu observed how social media became a platform for sharing experiences, with many people posting selfies from their walks. This inspired the concept of the music video, which emphasizes our interconnectedness even in times of isolation.
In the video, Nissu takes a walk in the park and snaps a selfie, magically transforming into another person who is also enjoying a walk. This transformation continues, featuring a total of nine cameos, illustrating the bond shared through these small yet significant moments. The concept behind the video is to convey the connection between all the selfies that were being posted during those challenging times. Each transformation symbolizes the unseen bond and solidarity among us.

Creating “Connection” was a therapeutic process for Nissu, helping him navigate the difficulties of the pandemic and personal challenges. The project aims to share a message of connection, love, and compassion, reminding us that even in the darkest times, hope prevails.
Originally from Brazil and now based in Dublin, Ireland for the past nine years, Nissu is a singer-songwriter with a passion for conveying emotions and sharing his unique perspective on life through music. His debut song, “Forever Mine,” explores the power of love against societal judgments, featuring photos of couples worldwide, including influencers and celebrities. His second release, “U,” highlights the essence of true friendship and relationships, starring actress and influencer Afshan Azad (known for her role in Harry Potter) and other celebrities. Both songs are part of Nissu’s debut EP, “Memories,” set to release later this year. The EP is characterized by its visual theme of photos, aiming to foster connection and representation by including people from all over the world.
“My music is a way of understanding the world around me and expressing myself artistically,” says Nissu. “I hope people can connect with the messages I try to convey.”
