Boasting an already scorching lineup featuring the hottest names in Afrobeats, Afro Nation Portugal 2024 has revealed the addition of global superstar Nicki Minaj, an explosive collaboration between Dadju & Tayc and an appearance from Lisandro Cuxi to this summer’s Main Stage.
Multi-platinum super-producer Musa Keys leads the second wave of names set to make their mark on Afro Nation Portugal’s trailblazing Piano People stage, alongside MFR Souls, Ch’cco, Yumbs,Tango Supreme, Tman Express, Sfarzo Rtee, Nicky Summers and Brooke Bailey – an electrifying curation that makes Afro Nation Portugal a stand-out in the summer festival calendar.
Returning to the beautiful Portimao beach on 28-30th June, Afro Nation has a star-studded line up already boasting the likes of Rema, Asake, J Hus, Tyla, Ninho, Omah Lay, Major League DJZ, Uncle Waffles and Focalistic to name a few.
Undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in the global music scene, Nicki Minaj is renowned for her ground-breaking chart-topping hits, dynamic stage presence and uncompromising vision. Synonymous with redefining US rap/hip-hop from the early 2010’s with her debut album “Pink Friday”, Nick Minaj has since become the first woman to amass 100 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and boasts an impressive array of accolades, including nine American Music Awards, twelve BET Awards, eight BET Hip Hop Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and many more from organisations across the world. Prepare for a musical extravaganza like never before as Afro Nation Portugal announces the addition of international sensation Lisandro Cuxi – a rising star with a magnetic stage presence and undeniable talent. Having gained widespread recognition after winning the French edition of “The Voice” in 2017, Lisandro Cuxi has since been making waves in the international music scene. His chart-topping singles, including “Danser” and “Eva,” have garnered millions of streams and solidified his status as an Afrobeats artist to watch.
Also in the mix on the ground-breaking Piano People stage will be Musa Keys. A powerhouse of sound, the South African record producer seamlessly blends the roots of Amapiano with contemporary vibes, creating an immersive sonic experience, perfect for the beach in Portimao.
In addition, MFR Souls, Tango Supreme, Tman Express, and Ch’cco, brings an eclectic mix of Amapiano to the Piano People stage. MFR Souls, pioneers of the Amapiano movement, infuse their set with innovative production, while Tango Supreme adds a unique blend of traditional Afrobeat rhythms and modern sounds.
