LYRA Unveils Debut Self-Titled Album

Cork-born artist LYRA has released her highly anticipated debut, self-titled album, offering a comprehensive reflection of her musical journey and personal growth. Comprising 14 tracks written between Los Angeles and London, the album showcases the broad range of LYRA’s musicality, journeying from dark and sultry compositions to pulsating dance anthems, all of which elevate her powerful vocals and reaffirm her status as a one-to-watch sensation in the pop-dance genre.

The album opens a window into LYRA’s world, capturing her commanding voice that effortlessly wavers between lightness and depth, and fragility and strength, enriching the emotions in her words. Having picked up a record deal with Polydor in 2016 and relocated to London, LYRA’s musical journey has been marked by significant milestones, including the release of her first Polydor single “Falling,” which garnered strong radio play and earned a Choice Music Prize Song of the Year nomination in 2019. To further develop her craft, manager Caroline Downey, credited for discovering Hozier, facilitated collaborations with acclaimed producers and songwriters, including Burns (Lady Gaga, Calvin Harris), resulting in a transformative experience that allowed LYRA to experiment and evolve as an artist.

The album also features collaborations with notable industry talents such as Dan Priddy (Bastille, Rag’n’Bone Man), The Nocturns (James Arthur, Maisie Peters), and Phil Cook (Lewis Capaldi, Ellie Goulding), further enriching the diverse musical landscape of LYRA’s debut release.
