Garden Groove Collective Shares Poignant Single ‘Fading Light’

Utah-based quintet Garden Groove Collective makes their 2025 debut with “Fading Light”, a poignant reflection on love’s dissolution that emerged organically from the band’s 2023 jam sessions. Comprising Brooke Bromley Patty, Ben Patty, Hayes Bromley, Tai Olson, and Aaron Baddley, the collective channels their undeniable chemistry into this genre-blending meditation on heartache, recorded at The Artist and The Studio with producer Andrew Jose.

The track’s strength lies in its lived-in authenticity – the kind that only emerges when musicians translate shared emotional experiences into song. Gentle guitar work intertwines with melancholic melodies to mirror the lyrics’ exploration of fading affection, while the arrangement builds subtly like memories resurfacing. Burdick’s mixing/mastering gives the production just enough polish to let the raw emotion shine through, particularly in the vocal delivery which balances wistfulness with quiet resignation.

What could have been another breakup ballad instead becomes something more universal through the Collective’s collaborative approach. The musical dialogue between members – no doubt honed through their jam session origins – creates a rich tapestry where folk intimacy meets adult-alternative expansiveness. It’s the sound of five artists finding common ground in shared vulnerability, transforming personal heartaches into communal catharsis.

“Fading Light” shows remarkable maturity in both its emotional depth and musical synthesis. As they navigate love’s twilight with equal parts tenderness and musical curiosity, Garden Groove Collective proves some lights fade only to make way for new illumination.

With ‘Fading Light,’ Garden Groove Collective transforms quiet heartbreak into a sweeping, genre-blending meditation on love and loss.
