Dave Chappelle Returns to Netflix with New Stand-Up Special on New Year’s Eve

Get ready for a new year filled with laughter as Dave Chappelle is set to release a brand new stand-up special on Netflix this New Year’s Eve, December 31st. The announcement was made through a short teaser trailer featuring Chappelle’s iconic “C” logo and the legendary voice of Morgan Freeman declaring, “He’s back, folks.”

This will mark the seventh special Chappelle has released with Netflix, continuing their successful partnership that began in 2017 with The Age of Spin, Deep in the Heart of Texas, Equanimity, and The Bird Revelation. This was followed by Stick & Stones in 2019 and his most recent special, The Closer, in 2021, which received significant attention and controversy.

This upcoming special arrives three years after “The Closer” and is sure to be highly anticipated by both fans and critics alike. Chappelle’s signature brand of humor, tackling complex social issues with wit and insight, has made him one of the most celebrated and controversial figures in comedy today.
