YSN Flow has officially returned with SORRY I’M LATE, an 11-track mixtape that marks the Cleveland Heights, Ohio rapper’s first project in six years and opens a new chapter in his career.
Led by ‘GET MONEY!’ and featuring ‘ALL WEEK’, the project finds Flow embracing the melodic style that has long been part of his identity while giving himself room to experiment with new sounds, moods and ideas. Across the mixtape, he moves between energetic rap records, melodic performances and more reflective moments that reveal how much has changed since listeners last heard a full project from him.
At the centre of SORRY I’M LATE is the complicated reality of success. The momentum continued with follow-up versions of ‘Want Beef?’ and projects including FLOW $ZN and Long Story Short in 2020. Over time, Flow’s catalogue accumulated more than a quarter-billion streams and over 100 million YouTube views, while earning recognition from platforms and publications including Flaunt, REVOLT, Elevator, Genius and XXL.
Then he stepped away from music’s spotlight to focus on becoming a father.
Now 22, Flow is returning with a broader perspective and an appetite for experimentation. His melodic and emotionally driven songwriting remains central to his sound, but SORRY I’M LATE also pushes towards a more energetic, festival-ready direction.
