The Jardani Crow Band brought fresh energy to Americana with “Train” a driving single released on July 19, 2026. The track served as the first preview of the band’s 10-track studio album, Love Section, which was released in August 2026. Blending traditional roots influences with contemporary instrumentation, the song showcased the band’s commitment to honouring Americana’s musical heritage while exploring new creative directions.
The Jardani Crow Band represented the latest creative collaboration between lifelong friends and experienced musical partners Michael Wheat, based in Asheville, North Carolina, and Rip Kurtain, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Before establishing the band, the pair had worked together on three previous projects: Project 4, Jake Leg and Zama Para. Their partnership brought together Wheat’s expressive vocals and guitar work with Kurtain’s distinctive bass lines, forming the foundation of a sound that respected Americana’s traditions while embracing innovation.
To bring “Train” to life, the duo assembled an international lineup of accomplished musicians. The recording featured Sergio da Silva on drums and Taras Kuznetsov on keyboards, both based in Portugal; Malaysian vocalist Ally Rozario on backing vocals; guitarist Davy Bergier from Japan; and Colorado-based trumpeter Jon-Paul Frappier. Their contributions added depth and texture to the arrangement, helping the band expand its musical identity beyond conventional genre boundaries.
Longtime co-producer and engineer Bryan Daste helped guide the recording process, bringing the band’s musical vision into focus. The resulting track combined the foundations of contemporary Americana with a willingness to experiment with instrumentation, arrangement and atmosphere.
As the first single associated with Love Section, “Train” introduced the musical direction behind the album, highlighting the band’s approach to balancing Americana’s roots with its evolving contemporary sound. The release also reflected the collaborative spirit that defined Wheat and Kurtain’s partnership, supported by musicians from different countries and musical backgrounds.
Through “Train,” The Jardani Crow Band demonstrated its interest in keeping Americana evolving without losing sight of the genre’s soulful foundations.
