Snoop Dogg, the iconic rapper, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album, “Doggystyle,” with a special edition release. The anniversary reissue includes the original tracklisting and a rare and sought-after track, “Gz Up Hoes Down,” previously exclusively available on the album’s initial 100,000 units during its first release in November 1993.
In addition to the digital release, the anniversary edition of “Doggystyle” is also available on vinyl in unique color variants. Walmart offers a gold foil cover with clear/cloudy blue vinyl, Amazon presents a clear and black smoke vinyl, and indie retailers feature a green and black smoke vinyl.
Snoop Dogg expressed his gratitude on the occasion, saying, “This month marks 30 years since the release of my debut album, Doggystyle. I’m so blessed to still be here doin’ my thing. For the Anniversary, I’m excited to release the album, including the full OG track list from 1993. Thank you to all my loved ones and fans for riding with me all these years, and I look forward to the next 30. Love ya’ll!”
