Busta Rhymes, the legendary rapper, is back with a bang, delivering his eleventh studio album, “Blockbusta.” This LP marks his return to full-length projects since 2020’s “Extinction Level Event 2.”
In the interim, Rhymes treated fans to the 2022 EP, “The Fuse Is Lit,” featuring a compact yet impactful lineup of five songs with contributions from Swizz Beatz, Big Daddy Kane, Conway the Machine, and more. In 2021, he also released a special deluxe version of his 1996 debut LP, “The Coming,” commemorating its 25th anniversary.
“Blockbusta” is an extensive offering, boasting 19 new tracks with a runtime of approximately one hour. While Busta Rhymes often collaborates with artists from the 1990s and early 2000s, this release showcases his embrace of the new generation of rap.
The album features a diverse mix of artists, including Quavo, BIA, Coi Leray, Blxst, Yung Bleu, Burna Boy, Young Thug, and T-Pain. Busta Rhymes took charge as the executive producer of “Blockbusta,” collaborating with industry heavyweights such as Swizz Beatz, Pharrell Williams, and Timbaland.
“Blockbusta” is now available for streaming on all major platforms, offering fans a rich and varied experience that spans the spectrum of contemporary rap.
