Sauce Walka Brings Texas Heat to the XXL Cypher Lab with “Ghetto Gospel”

Hip hop icon Sauce Walka steps into the spotlight once again in XXL’s exclusive Cypher Lab, sponsored by the highly anticipated Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing event, live on Netflix, Friday, November 15. Representing the heart of Houston and the spirit of Texas hip-hop, Sauce Walka’s talent and business savvy have helped him carve a unique path as an independent artist, inspiring fans and entrepreneurs alike with his unstoppable drive.

Nicknamed “The Saucinator” by fellow artists Ferg and Ab-Soul during their recent cypher collaboration, Sauce Walka has been a force in hip-hop since his earliest days. Growing up in Houston’s South Side, he embraced the freestyle culture of the city, influenced by legends like DJ Screw and the Screwed Up Click. By 14, he had mastered the art of delivering raw, spontaneous verses, skipping the pen and letting the words flow directly from his mind to the mic—a skill he now brings to XXL’s Cypher Lab with powerful bars packed with what he calls “ghetto gospel.”

“It is just more or less me preaching the ghetto gospel, man,” Sauce Walka shares with XXL. “It’s a message and a responsibility I hold to bring insight and information that can help change the world…I just be rapping about something with substance. From Texas, we got something to say.”

As much a businessman as he is an artist, Sauce Walka has built an empire through his entrepreneurial spirit. Determined to create and sustain a legacy, he has expanded his ventures across fashion, real estate, and entertainment. Before the close of 2024, fans can expect several new albums, artist compilations, and additional projects showcasing Sauce’s commitment to his craft and business vision.

“I’ve got a few new albums coming out by the end of the year,” Sauce reveals. “I plan to be a better CEO, diversify my portfolio, and keep raising the bar. I’m working on TV shows, commercial real estate, and high fashion products. I’m a serial entrepreneur, and I’m only just getting started.”

Sauce Walka’s powerful message and relentless ambition have made him a true leader in Texas hip-hop, inspiring fans to aim high and stay true to themselves. With new projects on the horizon, he’s set to end the year in true Sauce fashion—keeping it “real spicy.”
