Cambridge-based instrumental funksters Mulholland Jive are back with their highly anticipated EP, “Thunderfunk.” This dynamic release features five brand new tracks that showcase the band’s irresistible blend of funk, jazz, and rock. With their signature combination of piano pyrotechnics, squealing horns, devilish guitar solos, and thunderous drums, Mulholland Jive is set to raise the roof with their latest offering.

Mulholland Jive, the brainchild of Irish musician Ben Mulholland, is a multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Cambridge, UK. Performing as a 9-piece band, Mulholland Jive brings their lively instrumental funk-jazz-rock to life with a rotating roster of superhuman musicians. The band has performed at prestigious festivals such as the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Ely Arts Festival, and Strawberry Fair. They have headlined venues like the John Peel Centre and the Portland Arms, and their music has been played on radio stations across the globe, including BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, Banks Radio Australia, and San Francisco’s KXSFfm.
Mulholland Jive’s previous accomplishments include a nomination for ‘Track of the Year’ at the NMG Awards for their song “Levitate” and being a semi-finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest for their track “Empire – Live,” where they scored full marks from the judges.
