With her second studio album, BOHÈME, set for release in June 2025, visionary artist Kety Fusco continues to revolutionize the harp, transforming it into an instrument of sonic exploration and boundless artistic expression. A daring fusion of sound manipulation, unconventional techniques, and avant-garde composition, BOHÈME is more than an album—it is an invitation into a world of sound that has never existed before.
Following widespread acclaim from BBC 6 Music, The Guardian, Wonderland, and more, Kety Fusco has taken her craft to uncharted territory. Every sound on BOHÈME originates from the harp, yet nothing is as it seems. Through underwater recordings, experimental techniques, and bold sonic manipulations, Fusco has redefined the instrument’s potential. One of her most audacious experiments involved immersing herself in water to record the harp’s resonances underwater, a technique showcased in the album’s opening track, “Hi, this is Harp”—a manifesto of sonic avant-garde.
A harpist since the age of six, Kety Fusco has captivated audiences worldwide, performing at iconic venues such as Royal Albert Hall, Montreux Jazz Festival, Swiss Federal Parliament, and the Euro Jazz Festival in Mexico. With over 200 concerts across the globe, she has taken the harp to extraordinary places, from the Notte della Taranta to the United Nations and a tour of South America for the Swiss Embassies.
Beyond performance, Fusco’s influence extends to composition. She has written original soundtracks for an upcoming film and documentary set to be released in 2025 and composed the theme for Rai Radio3’s Voci in Barcaccia. Her artistic vision transcends boundaries, marrying tradition with innovation in a deeply personal and uncompromising journey.
In 2024, Fusco served as the Swiss juror for the Eurovision Song Contest, marking another milestone in her global recognition. BOHÈME also features a landmark collaboration with music legend Iggy Pop, further cementing Fusco’s reputation as a revolutionary force in contemporary music.
Leading the charge into this new sonic era is “BLOW”, the first single from BOHÈME. More than a song, “BLOW” is a visceral experience—a gust of wind shaking the rules, stripping away expectations, and revealing raw authenticity. Born from a desire to break free from convention, the track reimagines the harp not just as an instrument, but as a force of nature, bridging the past with an uncharted future.
“I sought to transform it into something wild and untamed, capable of expressing emotions that transcend tradition, projecting it toward a bolder, unknown future,” says Fusco.
With BOHÈME and “BLOW”, Kety Fusco once again proves she is not just a musician—she is a sonic architect, dismantling boundaries and reconstructing the very essence of sound.
