Kace Lets Loose With the High-Energy Fun of “Boys Girls”

Kace is clearly not interested in making music that sits quietly in the background. With his latest single, “Boys Girls,” the independent artist and producer turns the volume up, throws caution out the window, and delivers an EDM-fuelled party track built for movement.

As the third release in his growing catalogue, “Boys Girls” feels like Kace having a particularly good time with his sound. Fast, bouncy and deliberately playful, the track carries the kind of energy that feels perfectly suited to festivals, raves and those late-night moments when nobody is particularly interested in standing still.

At the heart of the song is a simple invitation: forget the rules for a moment and enjoy yourself. “Boys Girls” approaches self-expression and sexual freedom without putting listeners into neat categories, creating an atmosphere where the whole point is to cut loose and embrace whatever makes you feel good.

The production is just as unapologetic. Kace reportedly worked through numerous versions before settling on the final arrangement, and that patience pays off. The finished record combines a quick-moving beat with an infectious bounce, giving the song enough momentum to carry it from beginning to end.

There is also something refreshing about how hands-on Kace remains with his music. His production journey began at just 16, experimenting with GarageBand on his phone and teaching himself how to build music from the ground up. Today, he continues to self-produce his releases, giving him complete control over the details of his sound.

That DIY background sits comfortably alongside some decidedly maximalist influences. Artists such as SOPHIE, Kesha, Kim Petras and Britney Spears have helped shape Kace’s taste for bold, expressive pop and electronic music, while the dramatic production associated with K-pop also feeds into his approach. The result is music that doesn’t seem overly concerned with staying inside a single genre box.

“Boys Girls” is a good example of that philosophy. It lives somewhere between EDM and pop, with the emphasis firmly on big energy, memorable melodies, and an element of theatrical fun. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and that’s exactly why it works.

For a third release, Kace is already showing a clear understanding of what he wants his music to feel like. Loud, colourful, energetic and slightly outrageous, “Boys Girls” is less interested in making a complicated statement than it is in creating a space where listeners can dance, flirt, laugh and forget their inhibitions for a few minutes.

And honestly, sometimes that’s all a party song needs to do.
