Genre-defying rapper JPEGMAFIA has returned with a fierce new single titled Babygirl, marking the first official release from his upcoming album Experimental Rap.
Released via AWAL, “Babygirl” arrives as a raw, abrasive statement that sets the tone for what is being described as an “era-defining magnum opus.” The track is accompanied by a visually striking music video and album artwork that reinforce JPEGMAFIA’s signature chaotic, boundary-pushing aesthetic.
The forthcoming project is scheduled for release on May 21 and serves as the follow-up to his 2024 album I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU. In 2025, JPEGMAFIA continued his prolific run with a deluxe edition of the project, as well as a collaborative EP with Flume titled We Live in a Society, further expanding his experimental sonic palette.
Ahead of the album rollout, JPEGMAFIA is also gearing up for a major North American tour, alongside select festival appearances including Pukkelpop, Lowlands Festival, All Points East, and Electric Picnic. The tour will then continue across major cities including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Toronto, and Atlanta, reinforcing his reputation as one of the most electrifying live performers in contemporary hip-hop.
