South London’s standout R&B voice James Vickery today releases his stunning new studio album “JAMES.” via Red Bull Records. A fearless and deeply authentic project, the album marks a new chapter in Vickery’s career, blending timeless influences with a fresh, forward-thinking sound.
This year has already seen Vickery shine with standout singles “All In,” “Right Side,” “Butter,” and “Hotel Lobby”—tracks that have earned support from Billboard, Ones To Watch, The Independent, BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, KISS, Apple Music’s The Rebecca Judd Sho,w and more. Now, with the release of JAMES., he cements his place as one of the UK’s most compelling R&B artists.
Teaming up with longtime collaborator JD Reid (Mahalia, Mabel, Sinead Harnett), producer Larrance Dopson (Kendrick Lamar, Ella Mai, Justin Timberlake), and Grammy-nominated songwriter Jonah Christian (Beyoncé, Normani, Tems), the album finds Vickery exploring new creative heights. Drawing inspiration from classic R&B, 70s funk, soul, and the pop era of the late 90s/early 2000s, the result is a vibrant, emotional body of work that he proudly calls his “most authentic yet.”
