Bronx-born rapper Ice Spice and UK’s Central Cee have joined forces to release their first collaboration, “Did It First.” The track, featured on Ice Spice’s highly anticipated debut album “Y2K,” is a bold and unapologetic anthem that explores the complexities of relationships and infidelity.
“Did It First” showcases Ice Spice’s signature style, blending elements of UK drill and Jersey club to create a propulsive, percussive beat that sets the stage for the rappers to trade verses detailing their anti-romantic shenanigans. The chorus, “If he’s cheatin’, I’m doin’ him worse, no Uno, I hit the reverse, I ain’t trippin’, the grip in my purse, I don’t care, ’cause he did it first,” captures the defiant and assertive tone of the track.
The song’s accompanying music video, produced by Ice’s longtime collaborator USARIOT, complements the nostalgia-heavy vibe of the track, further enhancing the impact of the revenge cheating anthem.

“Did It First” is the fourth single from Ice Spice’s upcoming debut album “Y2K,” following her Billboard Hot 100 top 40 hit “Think U The Shit (Fart),” the Sean Paul-sampling “Gimme a Light,” and her latest offering “Phat Butt.” The album is set to be released on July 26 via 10K Projects and Capitol Records.
Ice Spice’s musical journey has been marked by her unique blend of influences and her unapologetic approach to addressing taboo themes. Her debut EP “Like..?” reached No. 15 on the Billboard 200 and No. 5 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, featuring hit singles such as “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and “Princess Diana,” the latter of which received a Hot 100 No. 4 remix with Nicki Minaj.
Central Cee, known for his recent hits on the Hot 100, including “H.Y.B.” with J. Cole and “BAND4BAND” with Lil Baby, brings his distinct style to “Did It First,” adding depth and dimension to the collaboration.
“Did It First” arrives as a powerful statement from Ice Spice and Central Cee, setting the stage for the release of “Y2K!” and solidifying Ice Spice’s position as a rising force in the music industry.
