D’Yani Delivers Live Acoustic Choir Performance of “Journey”

Jamaican singer-songwriter and poet D’Yani has returned with a captivating live acoustic choir session of his recent single “Journey,” offering fans a stripped-back and emotionally charged interpretation of the track.

Filmed at the iconic Tuff Gong Studios in Jamaica, the performance is set to be exclusively released via Grammy’s Global Spin, showcasing D’Yani in an intimate live setting that highlights the depth and power of his vocal delivery.

Dressed in white and positioned at the forefront of a live band and choir ensemble, D’Yani delivers a moving rendition of “Journey” that blends soul, tranquillity, and emotional intensity. The arrangement elevates the song’s reflective tone, allowing its message of growth, resilience, and self-discovery to resonate even more strongly.

Originally released on June 5th, “Journey” is a deeply personal record inspired by D’Yani’s lived experiences. The song reflects on life’s highs and lows, capturing themes of struggle, gratitude, loss, and personal evolution. Written in collaboration with producer Remus, who also worked on his previous record “Live A Little,” the track continues a creative partnership that has become central to D’Yani’s sound.

Speaking about the song, D’Yani described “Journey” as a reflection of real-life experiences and emotional truth, emphasizing that the record was not crafted around fiction, but rather lived reality. He shared that the intention behind the production was to create something uplifting and soulful, allowing listeners to reflect while still feeling inspired.

Following the success of “The Little Things,” D’Yani hopes “Journey” offers fans a deeper emotional connection and a sense of encouragement through different phases of life. He continues to build a broader artistic vision under his “Live Life & Prosper” philosophy, which he describes as both a personal mindset and the foundation of his upcoming album.

That philosophy is reflected in his growing catalogue, which includes standout releases such as “Live A Little,” “Señorita,” “Goddess,” “Birthday,” “Lock and Key,” and “Ride It.” His breakthrough moment came in 2022 with “Feelings (Remix)” featuring Jada Kingdom, which helped establish him as one of Jamaica’s rising stars.

D’Yani’s momentum has since extended onto major stages and festivals across the Caribbean, including Reggae Sumfest, Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, St. Kitts Music Festival, Barbados Reggae Weekend, and City Splash Festival, further cementing his reputation as a dynamic live performer.

A significant milestone in his career came through his collaboration with Kareem “Remus” Burrell of XTM.Nation on “Live A Little,” a track that helped elevate his international profile. The song also received attention from global DJ and media personality DJ Khaled, who publicly supported the record on social media and was later seen engaging with D’Yani at the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards in New York.

With the release of this acoustic version of “Journey,” D’Yani continues to showcase his versatility as an artist, blending reggae and dancehall influences with soulful storytelling and live performance artistry. The session reinforces his growing reputation as a voice committed to emotional honesty, inspiration, and musical authenticity.

The live performance of “Journey” is set for exclusive release on Grammy’s Global Spin.
