Darryl Scotti & Big Yard are drawing attention with the a cappella remix of “State Of Mind,” a reimagined version of the track that puts vocal harmonies and expressive songwriting at the centre of the listening experience. Blending elements of Americana and jazz with an understated arrangement, the remix offers a fresh perspective on the original song.
The Americana singer-songwriter and Big Yard Nation bring a stripped-back, vocal-led approach to the track, connecting with listeners through organic musicianship and a laid-back, reflective sound.
In contrast to heavily produced contemporary recordings, “State Of Mind (The Remix)” allows the voices to shape the atmosphere, creating an intimate sound that invites listeners to slow down and take in the music.
The remix highlights the power of organic musicianship, pairing heartfelt songwriting with a relaxed, vocal-focused performance. Its stripped-back approach creates space for the voices to lead, giving the song a reflective quality suited to quiet moments, long drives and open-road listening.
For fans of mood-driven music, the track offers an alternative to high-energy production, leaning instead on layered harmonies, subtle dynamics and an easygoing groove.
The remix has reportedly gained placements on playlists including Pulse of Americana, Chill Americana and Indigo, helping introduce the track to listeners drawn to reflective, harmony-rich music.
Its understated atmosphere and cinematic feel make it a natural fit for playlists focused on Americana, relaxed listening and contemplative moods.
With its blend of vocal interplay and laid-back energy, “State Of Mind (The Remix)” continues to offer a different kind of listening experience, one that puts connection, feeling and musicianship ahead of spectacle.
