Showing no signs of slowing down, Dublin-based rapper Beano kicks off 2025 with the release of his highly anticipated EP, Trap #7. Produced entirely by fellow Ireland-based artist No Venom, the seven-track project is a testament to Beano’s rising stature in the hip-hop scene, blending hard-hitting percussion with thought-provoking lyricism.
From start to finish, Trap #7 is a riotous blend of pounding breakbeats and hypnotic flows, delivering a sound both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. The EP draws inspiration from ‘90s hip-hop legends while maintaining an undeniable forward momentum, cementing Beano as a force to be reckoned with. Featuring guest appearances from Verb T, Panda Drey, and Donkobz, the project showcases dynamic collaborations and razor-sharp storytelling.
Discussing the EP, Beano reflects on the organic process behind its creation: “The synergy working with No Venom was something I hadn’t experienced before. What started as a feature request evolved into him remixing my tracks, and before I knew it, I was pivoting songs I had written for other beats to his production.”

This deep-rooted connection between artist and producer results in a cohesive sonic experience, blending personal narratives with gripping soundscapes. Tracks like Toubkal were inspired by Beano’s real-life experiences, written mid-flight as he reflected on hiking to the summit of Morocco’s highest peak. Meanwhile, the title track Trap #7 draws from childhood memories of watching The Mighty Celt, a film about greyhound racing—an influence that extends beyond lyrics into the project’s cover art.
A staple of the Irish hip-hop community, Beano has built a name for himself with standout performances at Electric Picnic, headline shows across Ireland, and stage shares with Fliptrix & Verb T. Since debuting in 2022, he has carved out a distinct lane, blending genre nostalgia with a sharp contemporary edge.
With Trap #7, Beano’s 2025 is already shaping up to be a defining year. This latest project isn’t just a release—it’s a statement, reinforcing his place as one of the most exciting voices in Irish hip-hop today.
