Aptøsrs Debuts with Expansive Soundscapes in ‘ELDERS’

The debut album ‘ELDERS’ from instrumental project Aptøsrs is officially out now. Aptøsrs is the brainchild of Paul Terry, an Independent Music Award-nominated composer, songwriter, and producer.

Mixed by renowned sound engineer Adam Noble (known for his work with Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves, and Don Broco) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (famed for his work with Pixies, Royal Blood, and Wolf Alice), ‘ELDERS’ showcases a unique blend of synthwave infused with cinematic orchestrations, lead bass guitar, piano, and drums that traverse the realms of downtempo, breakbeat, and rock.

Paul Terry, the creative force behind Aptøsrs, has an extensive background in composing and producing over thirty soundtracks, including the award-winning film Dave Stevens: Drawn to Perfection—the authorized documentary about the creator of The Rocketeer—as well as the NBCUniversal docu-series Behind the Panel and the multi-award-winning feature documentary Sidney & Friends.

In addition to his work in film and documentary scoring, Terry has made his mark as a singer-songwriter. He has collaborated with world-renowned Dutch artist Anneke van Giersbergen on the Cellarscape song ‘The Same Place’ and was the featured artist on ‘Detonation Days’ by Love Amongst Ruin, the band led by ex-Placebo drummer Steve Hewitt. His diverse collaborations also include Kenyan vocalist Silas Miami, South African artist Lana Crowster, and British cellist Tom Wraith.
