In an exclusive interview with Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis, Billie shared her love for performing in smaller, acoustic settings: “This is really what I like the most in terms of just singing. It’s where it all started—me and Finneas playing acoustically. It’s nice to always come back to that.”
The acoustic set also celebrates Billie and FINNEAS’s creative triumph with HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, which Billie described as her favorite album to date:
“We tried to make an album we would love, even if no one else ever heard it. Because of that, it became our favorite thing we’ve ever made.”
FINNEAS added perspective on their evolving creative process: “We’ve become more thoughtful and critical as we’ve gotten older. It’s made us work harder for our art, which leads to better results, even if the process feels more challenging.”
Billie also reflected on the emotional impact of hearing fans sing along to “THE GREATEST” during her tour: “Hearing a giant arena filled with people singing that song, which holds so much meaning for us, is something I hold so close to me. It’s proof of how what we create connects with people in real time.”
The duo also reminisced on how their shared journey as artists deepened their sibling bond. FINNEAS remarked: “When we made ‘Ocean Eyes,’ we became coworkers at a time when our lives were about to become more separate. Instead, we got closer than ever, learning and growing together.”
