North West London rapper, producer, streamer and content creator WhyDee is turning a year of viral moments and online momentum into a new chapter with his latest single, “Bonjour.”
The release arrives after months of freestyles, streaming activity, brand collaborations and consistent interaction with his growing online community. The track has already generated strong attention ahead of its release, with almost 1,000 TikTok video recreations and a collaboration with Nigerian creator Peller that reached around 5 million views.
WhyDee’s own TikTok content featuring the sound has also attracted more than 610,000 views, showing how naturally his online audience continues to connect with his music. At just 20 years old, he has built a large following through content creation while gradually establishing himself as an artist in his own right.
That transition has been closely tied to the way WhyDee works. Rather than keeping the creative process behind closed doors, he regularly shares it with his community, hosting live sessions every Monday on Twitch where he produces, writes and records music. His viral freestyles across TikTok and Instagram have also become part of that process, giving his audience a direct look at how his ideas develop.
Known collectively as the Hawk Tribe, his online community has played an important role in the journey. With “Bonjour,” WhyDee is showing that the attention generated by his content can translate into genuine interest in his music.
Co-produced by WhyDee and Waytoolost and mastered by Tweeko, “Bonjour” leans into feel-good UK rap, combining infectious melodies, confident delivery and clever punchlines. At the centre of the song is the catchy line, “Bonjour my girl, are you with it?”, giving the track an immediate and playful hook.
There is also more substance behind the upbeat energy. WhyDee reflects on his personal growth through the line “I was the same as them,” looking back at a period when he had very little, made mistakes, and found himself doing things he now wants to leave behind.
Rather than using that experience to judge people who may still be living through similar circumstances, WhyDee approaches it from a place of understanding. He knows what that environment feels like because he has experienced it himself, and the song ultimately becomes a reflection of purpose, self-belief and the desire to build a better future.
His growing profile has also extended beyond music and social media. Over the past year, WhyDee has worked with brands and platforms including Apple, Spotify, Marc Jacobs and the NFL. He also recently travelled to the United States to create content around England’s FIFA World Cup campaign.
Along the way, his creative network has continued to expand, including a connection with major names such as Dave. These opportunities have helped strengthen his position as a creator while giving him more space to develop his identity as an artist.
“Bonjour” therefore represents more than another viral sound for WhyDee. It captures an artist moving beyond the content that first introduced him to millions of people and using that platform to tell his own story through music.
Following the audio release on September 11, an official cinematic video is also set to arrive, giving the single another visual chapter and extending its campaign across YouTube, social media and music and entertainment platforms.
With its infectious energy, reflective message and strong online momentum, “Bonjour” marks another step forward for WhyDee as he continues to turn his creativity and community into something bigger.
