Sophie Taylor Unveils Heartfelt New Single, “Back to You”

Rising country-pop artist Sophie Taylor is making waves with the release of her new single, “Back to You.” At just 15 years old, the North Carolina-based singer-songwriter is captivating audiences with her heartfelt lyrics, authentic storytelling, and a voice that carries the wisdom of someone well beyond her years.

Growing up in a small town in Northeastern North Carolina, Sophie has spent the past year honing her craft, writing songs that explore young love, personal growth, and resilience. Her music reflects her deep connection to family, faith, and the beauty of everyday life, shaped by her upbringing in a family of educators and farmers.

“Back to You” is one of several original songs that showcase Sophie’s gift for storytelling, alongside tracks like “Colder,” “Call Me Yours,” “Fight or Flight,” and “Better Luck Next Time.” The song was recorded during a transformative trip to Nashville, where Sophie immersed herself in the city’s vibrant music scene and performed at the legendary Commodore Grille, marking a milestone moment in her career.

Sophie’s growing social media presence has allowed her to connect with an expanding audience, with fans on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube eagerly supporting her journey. A chance meeting with acclaimed songwriter Jerry Foster (writer of country classic “I’ll Think of Something”) reinforced the importance of courage and persistence in a music career.

“Meeting other artists and songwriters has been amazing,” Sophie shares. “The advice and encouragement they’ve given me push me to keep going, even when it’s scary to put myself out there.”

Sophie’s musical journey began in church, where she performed her first solo at just five years old. By eight, she was learning guitar, and soon after, she was writing and performing her own songs. She continues to sing in local churches, embracing the opportunity to connect with her community and faith through music.

Despite her young age, Sophie approaches her career with a clear vision and unwavering passion. “I love what I do, and I want to keep singing, writing, and performing for as long as I can,” she says. “Music is what makes me happy. If it turns into a career, that would be incredible, but even if it doesn’t, I’ll still be doing this because it’s who I am.”
