Alma Asinobi, a Nigerian travel and lifestyle content creator, is gearing up to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to visit all seven continents. She aims to complete this extraordinary journey in under 70 hours, surpassing the current record of 73 hours held by Sujoy Kumar Mitra and Dr. Ali Irani. Starting her ambitious quest on Saturday, March 15 from Antarctica, Alma has charted an intricate path across the seven continents, which includes North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. At just 26 years old, Alma stands out as the youngest and only Black solo participant attempting this groundbreaking feat.
In her own words, Alma emphasises the broader significance of her attempt: “This attempt is about more than just breaking a record – it’s about showing what’s possible for young African women and anyone with a low-mobility passport.” She continues, “I’m determined to complete this journey in under 70 hours, proving that determination can overcome barriers in global travel. I don’t want my dreams or adventures to be determined by the color of my skin or the color of my passport.”
