singer-songwriter Meera is embracing the holiday spirit with her new single, “Tiptoes”, released on November 22nd. The track serves as the first glimpse into her upcoming Christmas EP, A Very Meera Christmas, which arrives on December 6th.
One of the few Indian artists to craft a dedicated Christmas EP, Meera’s project is a unique blend of her Indian-American heritage and personal holiday nostalgia. Growing up in the New York suburbs, she fondly recalls cozy Christmas family gatherings, Harry Potter marathons, long road trips to West Virginia, and late-night drives to admire holiday lights—memories that now shape the warmth and storytelling of her festive songs.
“Christmas has always been a time for reflection, joy, and togetherness for me,” says Meera. “This EP is my take on Christmas, and I’m excited to share these songs with everyone. ‘Tiptoes’ is just the beginning, and I can’t wait for you all to hear the rest of the EP!”
Known for her lyrical depth, melodic finesse, and jazz-infused sound, Meera has established herself as one of India’s most promising singer-songwriters. With training in Hindustani classical, Western classical, and jazz, she seamlessly blends cultures and genres, creating a fresh, contemporary sound that resonates with global audiences. Recently, she was selected to participate in the Indian-Korean inaugural songwriting camp, further solidifying her place in the international music scene.
