Kid Cudi has sparked excitement among Australian fans after hinting that a full headline tour is in the works, following his first return to the country in more than a decade.
The Cleveland-born rapper and singer made his long-awaited comeback to Australian stages over the New Year period, performing at Wildlands Festival and Beyond The Valley, two major events produced by Untitled Group. After wrapping up the shows, Cudi reflected on the experience in an Instagram Story posted on January 3, describing the trip as unforgettable.
“This whole trip, New Zealand, Australia — this whole little tour was f—ing epic,” he said.
Cudi went on to thank fans for their overwhelming energy, noting how meaningful it was to see crowds “losing their s—t to every song” and “singing every word.” He then teased what could be next, revealing that he’s already “planting the seeds for a little tour down under.”
“I’ll be back soon,” he added, promising that when he returns, he’ll do it “right,” with a full set featuring “all the smashes, all the deep cuts and some new s—t.”
While no official dates or tour details have been announced, the comments quickly ignited speculation, especially among fans who have waited years for Kid Cudi to bring a full headline show back to Australia.
Cudi’s recent run included performances at Wildlands Festival, which kicked off on January 1 at Brisbane Showgrounds before heading west to Arena Joondalup in Perth on January 3. The coast-to-coast event featured a lineup led by Dom Dolla, Kid Cudi, and Addison Rae, alongside acts such as Chris Stussy, KETTAMA, Luude, 070 Shake, and Cassian.
He also appeared at Beyond The Valley, which wrapped up its landmark 10th anniversary edition at Barunah Plains in Victoria. Presented by Untitled Group and triple j, and supported by Visit Victoria, the festival sold out instantly and welcomed 40,000 attendees.
Reflecting on the moment, Cudi shared on Instagram: “Man, bringing in the New Year at BTV was the most epic sh*t ever!!! I had the best time w u all!!! So much love, bouncing back from me to u. Such a beautiful experience.”
