Jonny Corralitos World of Sound Art

Jonny Corralitos’ ‘World of Sound’ EP Is a Raucous Celebration of Authentic Rock

California music veteran Jonny Corralitos makes a triumphant return with ‘World of Sound’, a five-track love letter to raw, unfiltered musicianship that burns bright against today’s algorithm-driven music landscape. Following teaser single ‘Over Before It’s Begun’, this EP channels Corralitos’ off-grid upbringing and decades of stage experience (with everyone from Santana to No Doubt) into a potent mix of indie rock grit, power pop hooks, and reggae-infused grooves.

The project plays like a greatest hits compilation from an alternate universe where Jack Johnson, Pavement, and ’90s ska-punk share a beach bonfire. Corralitos’ sun-bleached guitar work and lived-in vocals carry the weight of his journey – from pioneering West Coast sounds with The Square Roots to shaping NYC’s rock scene with Lonehawk. There’s not a trace of auto-tune or digital sterility here – just the crackle and pop of organic instrumentation delivered with what Corralitos calls “big fun” energy.

Diving into the release, he explains, “In an era when much of popular music sounds like an endless loop of the same auto-tuned pseudo-melody over a stubbornly unimaginative drum program, I wanted to keep the torch of original music, truly original music, burning hot and bright. Beyond the wry lyrics and ace musicianship, the main thing these songs deliver: big fun, from start to finish.”

More than just nostalgia, ‘World of Sound’ serves as both celebration and rebellion – proof that real songs played by real musicians still matter. When Corralitos sings about keeping “the torch of original music burning,” you believe every word.

‘World of Sound’ is Corralitos at his rawest and most radiant
