Ghana’s Breakout Star Black Sherif Drops IRON BOY Album

Ghana’s reigning musical force Black Sherif has released his monumental sophomore album “IRON BOY”, a 15-track testament to his artistic evolution and global appeal. The project, featuring the hit single “So It Goes” with Nigeria’s Fireboy DML, showcases Sherif’s signature blend of Afrobeats, hip-hop and highlife through deeply personal storytelling and genre-defying production.

On the eve of release, Sherif stunned fans with a cinematic visual for “Rebel Music”, demonstrating his commanding screen presence. The album – his proudest work to date – was crafted with longtime collaborator Joker Nharnah (Kwaku The Traveller) and top producer Lekaa Beats (Omah Lay, Central Cee), delivering standout moments from the intentional opener “One” to the triumphant “The Victory Song” and reflective title track “IRON BOY”.

“This album represents the strength I’ve found through my journey,” says Black Sherif. “It’s about resilience, but also remembering to find joy in the process.”

The release coincides with Sherif’s most ambitious tour yet – a six-date North American run beginning April 4th followed by 11 European shows, including a landmark headline performance at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on May 3rd. This follows his completely sold-out debut international show at London’s KOKO last year.

From his breakout Sermon freestyles to the global phenomenon “Kwaku the Traveller” (most Shazamed song worldwide), the Ashanti-born artist has become Africa’s most compelling new voice. With collaborations including Burna Boy and Vic Mensa, plus a BET Hip Hop Awards nomination, Sherif continues his meteoric rise.
