Singer-songwriter Emma Miller has unveiled her latest single, “Just A Feeling,” the second release from her upcoming EP. With this heartfelt song, Emma captures the experience of being caught off guard by a negative episode and navigating through unexpected and overwhelming emotions. “Just A Feeling” delves into the transient nature of feelings, emphasizing that even the darkest days cannot sustain their potency.
The track features powerful layers of harmonies, showcasing Emma’s expressive vocals, while the lyrics draw inspiration from the Scottish landscapes that surrounded her. Emma Miller shared the inspiration behind “Just A Feeling,” stating, “In 2019, I left London and moved back north to Scotland in an attempt to dislodge myself from a cloud of low mood and anxiety that had brought me down. Time with family and the outdoors seemed to do the trick until one day I woke up and the world had turned grey. It was quite frightening, and I didn’t know if this feeling was here to stay. I took myself to the piano and tried to process it all in a song. By the end of the afternoon, the potent cocktail of emotions had already diluted, and there was light at the end of the tunnel. ‘Just A Feeling’ is the song that came out of it and articulates the experience for me.”
In addition to the single release, this year marks the launch of Emma’s second EP, “Artifacts,” a groundbreaking collection that will be available for streaming on the blockchain. To celebrate, Emma will be hosting a special show at Gordon Castle’s ‘The Walled Garden’ in Morayshire on August 10th.
