Cybèle Continues to Expand Her Distinctive Artistic Universe with the Release of ‘Lovergirl’

French-American composer, producer, recording artist, and multidisciplinary creator Cybèle continues to expand her distinctive artistic universe with the release of her latest single, ‘Lovergirl’. While rooted in contemporary R&B and pop, the track represents just one facet of a broader creative vision that spans composition, storytelling, production, and musical theatre. Drawing from a life shaped across Paris, Beijing, Los Angeles, and New York City, Cybèle has cultivated an internationally informed artistic voice that moves fluidly between genres, disciplines, and cultures.

A graduate of Harvard University with extensive training at Berklee College of Music, Cybèle is currently completing a Master’s degree in Music at Berklee NYC while building a multifaceted career that extends far beyond traditional pop artistry. Equally at home as a composer, producer, performer, and creative architect, her work bridges contemporary music, theatrical storytelling, and socially engaged creative projects. This expansive approach has earned recognition from cultural institutions, major brands, and industry leaders alike, positioning her as an emerging force whose work resonates across multiple creative spheres.

Cybèle has a growing international audience of more than 184,000 followers across platforms. Her expanding profile has also led to collaborations with major brands and organisations including 88Rising, Prada Beauty, and the Super Bowl. Her music has also been featured on international television and recognised by both the RFK Foundation and the Grammy Museum. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Kehlani and Victoria Monét while cultivating a distinctive sound entirely her own, Cybèle has built a reputation for merging modern pop and R&B with orchestral influences, gospel warmth, and vintage soul. Often described as “ABBA meets Michael Jackson with a touch of Tchaikovsky”, her genre-spanning approach has earned recognition across both artistic and industry circles.

Her work has been commissioned by leading nonprofit and cultural organizations, including the American Cancer Society, reflecting a creative practice that bridges artistic excellence with social impact. Beyond her artistic output, Cybèle is committed to advancing equity and representation within the music industry as co-founder of The Mix, a Harvard-Berklee initiative dedicated to expanding access for emerging creatives. Raised between Paris, Beijing, and Los Angeles, Cybèle brings a uniquely international perspective to contemporary pop and R&B.

Created alongside Grammy Award-winning songwriter Tristan Rice, whose recent credits include Chris Brown’s 11:11, ‘Lovergirl’ explores the emotional complexities of self-worth, vulnerability, and personal growth. The pair developed the song through candid conversations about love, identity, and the challenges many women face in balancing emotional generosity with self-preservation.

Sonically, ‘Lovergirl’ occupies a rich space between contemporary R&B and dream-pop, pairing lush harmonies, atmospheric textures, and elegant production with Cybèle’s expressive vocal performance. The result is a deeply personal release that showcases her ability to transform intimate experiences into universally resonant narratives. “’Lovergirl’ is about the journey of pain, beauty, and self-acceptance that comes with learning that love and discernment don’t always live in the same place. As women who love deeply, we have to learn to match our capacity for giving with our ability to recognise who is truly capable of receiving it. This song sits in that tension, and ultimately, in the grace of letting go.”

With ‘Lovergirl’, Cybèle offers another compelling entry point into an artistic world defined by curiosity, emotional depth, and cross-cultural storytelling. More than a standalone single, the release reflects the continued evolution of a creator whose work exists at the intersection of music, narrative, and multidisciplinary expression. As her creative universe continues to expand, ‘Lovergirl’ serves as the latest chapter in a much larger vision that reaches far beyond the confines of contemporary pop.
