Calgary-born singer-songwriter Connor Douglas Ferguson has released his powerful new single, Taste of His Spit. Taste of His Spit reflects on a brief yet impactful relationship Ferguson experienced a year ago after arriving in Los Angeles to pursue his career as a songwriter. In LA, he met an older artist, struggling but seasoned, who shared harsh truths about life in the city and industry, particularly as a young gay man.
Now based in London, Ferguson recorded the track after settling into his new home, collaborating with fellow artists Georgia Fullalove and Louis Cremades to refine its writing and production. The result is a track that blends Ferguson’s signature raw storytelling with polished, haunting production, capturing a sense of vulnerability and authenticity.
