Cinnamon Sandhu’s “I’ll Be Alright” Offers Hope and Healing

Emerging South Asian artist Cinnamon Sandhu delivers a heartfelt message of resilience and self-assurance with her latest single, “I’ll Be Alright.” This marks her fourth release of the year, following fan-favorites “Materialistic Rani,” “Diamond,” and “Genie.”

Cinnamon describes “I’ll Be Alright” as a song of self-empowerment: “It’s me telling myself that I’ve got this—it’s like a self-affirmation in the form of a song. It’s about reminding myself that no matter how hard things get, I have the strength to heal, grow, and come out stronger on the other side.” Her powerful lyrics and genre-blending production strike a chord, offering listeners an uplifting anthem for overcoming challenges.

Known for her unique fusion-pop style, Cinnamon blends the rich traditions of Western and Indian pop music, creating a soundscape that reflects her heritage and artistic evolution. Her journey began nine years ago with Punjabi and English song covers shared on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, amassing an impressive following of 180K followers, 2M likes on TikTok, and 3.5M YouTube views.

While Cinnamon found early success on social media, she considers 2021 the true launch of her career, marked by her first single release and a paid performance at BC’s renowned 5X Fest. The following year, she independently released four singles and her first self-funded music video, which gained over 10K organic views.

In 2023, Cinnamon released her debut EP Love Story, leveraging a trip to India to broaden her audience and generate culturally resonant content. She also performed at three festivals, including a standout appearance at the Monsoon Festival of Performing Arts in Vancouver, where she opened for two headlining acts.
