Christen Wethered Unveils New Single ‘Into The Garden’

After carving out a reputation as a rising star on the underground scene, Dublin-based artist Christen Wethered has made his much-anticipated return with the vibrant new single ‘Into The Garden’. This track marks his first release in two years and showcases his evolution as an artist, offering a lush and shimmering soundscape that perfectly encapsulates his unique style. Known for his emotive and introspective approach to music, Wethered delivers a compelling blend of intricate melodies and rich instrumentation that is both refreshing and captivating.

Accompanying this release is a visually stunning live video, filmed by Nestor Romero Clemente at Christchurch in Rathgar, which further enhances the immersive experience of ‘Into The Garden’. The video’s serene and ethereal setting complements the track’s reflective tone, allowing Wethered’s artistry to shine through both visually and sonically. With this release, Wethered demonstrates his ability to create deeply atmospheric music that resonates on multiple levels, leaving listeners eager for what he has in store next.

Speaking on the release, he says: “This lonely song charts the tragic but necessary shattering of one’s ideas of perfection, innocence, and home. Once they have left, the lovers cannot return to the Garden of Eden – similarly, each new experience, while beautiful, also has an element of sacrifice. I grew up in Sussex and have spent the last 20 years in and out of Ireland. The increasing number of homeless refugees on the streets of Dublin, the catastrophic conflict in Russia and Ukraine, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza only serve to problematise our concept of home beyond our wildest conceptions.”
