That title could take on several meanings, but when Jack was laying down vocals and lyrics, she had mentioned themes of love that had run its course, but being unable to avoid it because it was everywhere you showed up. It very much fits the mood of the track. It felt like we were definitely on the same wavelength when it came to what this song meant because I had perceived this song to be about some form of love, even when the song was in its first stages and I was just laying down the instrumentals. I love songs about past love, and so it was interesting to hear someone approach it so articulately and with vulnerability, especially without me ever mentioning the idea,” Blue Capricorn shares on the release.
