Rising country-soul artist Benny G has officially announced his forthcoming EP, When You Know You Know, set for release on April 17. Alongside the announcement, he has unveiled a new solo-written single, “She Was Just a Stranger,” offering fans an early glimpse into the project’s emotional depth.
The six-track EP is described as a deeply personal body of work, centered on the complexities of love and relationships. According to Benny G, the project traces a chronological journey—from the initial spark of attraction and early romance to heartbreak, reflection, and personal growth. Themes of vulnerability, anxiety, and self-discovery are woven throughout, capturing both the highs and lows of modern relationships.
The project was primarily produced by Eddie Spear, known for his work with Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlile, and Sam Barber. Notably, much of the EP was recorded live in single takes, highlighting Benny G’s raw vocal delivery and stripped-back musical approach. Additional tracks, including previously released singles “An Hour or So” and “I Got a Feeling,” were produced by Todd Clark alongside Benny himself.
Early releases from the EP have already generated attention from outlets such as Country Central, Holler, and All Country News, positioning Benny G as one of the genre’s emerging voices.
Currently on tour, Benny G continues to build momentum on the live circuit. He is performing alongside Sons of Legion and is set to join Penelope Road as a supporting act. In a major career milestone, he will also open for Ty Myers on all dates of the upcoming THE LEGAL TOUR, with performances scheduled at high-profile venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Rooftop at Pier 17, and The Wharf Amphitheater from June through November.
Benny G is also set to make his debut appearance at CMA Fest, further expanding his reach within the country music scene. Earlier this year, he performed at the European edition of C2C Festival in both Berlin and London, where he was widely recognized as a standout act. Media outlet Entertainment Focus praised his performance, noting that he left a lasting impression and emerged as one of the most exciting new voices of the weekend.
With When You Know You Know on the horizon and a growing international profile, Benny G continues to establish himself as a compelling new artist blending country storytelling with soulful authenticity.
