Alma Owren Releases Hauntingly Beautiful Debut Single, “Outcast”

Rising Norwegian artist Alma Owren makes her debut with “Outcast,” an indie guitar-driven track that explores themes of isolation and identity, brought to life through cinematic soundscapes shaped by her own violins, vocals, and guitar.

Growing up on a farm near the forests and lakes of Vingrom, Norway, 19-year-old Alma was surrounded by stories. Music became her way of understanding the world, first through the violin at age four and later through songwriting. As a teenager, she immersed herself in music production, shaping her sound from the ground up to create an authentic, deeply personal expression of her emotions and experiences.

“For me, music isn’t just about melodies—it’s a language, a journal, and a way to make sense of myself and the world.” – Alma Owren

Blending dreamy indie-folk with atmospheric production, “Outcast” is a track for those who have ever felt like they don’t quite belong. Alma’s raw storytelling and ethereal instrumentation place her in the same sonic space as Phoebe Bridgers, Billie Eilish, and Clairo, offering a sound that resonates with young, introspective listeners around the world.

With “Outcast”, Alma Owren introduces herself not just as a singer-songwriter, but as a composer, producer, and storyteller, crafting music that is as immersive as it is intimate.
