Jill Scott Announces First Album in Over a Decade, ‘To Whom This May Concern’

GRAMMY Award-winning neo-soul icon Jill Scott has officially announced her long-awaited return to music with a brand-new album titled To Whom This May Concern, set for release on February 13, 2026, just ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The upcoming project marks Scott’s first studio album in over 10 years, following her 2015 critically acclaimed release Woman, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. With To Whom This May Concern, Scott opens a bold new chapter—one shaped by lived experience, reflection, and expansive musicianship.

The 19-track album boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Ab-Soul, J.I.D, Tierra Whack, and Too $hort, blending generations and genres with Scott’s unmistakable voice at the center. Production is handled by a powerhouse team featuring DJ Premier, Adam Blackstone, Om’Mas Keith, Camper, Andre Harris, Seige Montracity, Trombone Shorty, Eric Wortham, DW Wright, and VT Tolan, promising a rich and diverse sonic palette.

The album rollout began with the release of the lead single “Beautiful People,” which sets the tone for a project rooted in authenticity, growth, and musical freedom. To Whom This May Concern will be released via The Orchard, marking Scott’s first full-length project since concluding her deal with Atlantic Records.

“Finally my new album entitled TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN drops Feb. 13th!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and THANK YOU for your patience and your listening ears,” Scott shared in her announcement. “Presave link available in my bio now! Much Love, Jilly from Philly.”

Speaking on Million Dollaz Worth of Game in December, Scott described the album as deeply personal and expansive. “It’s a lot of living in this album. It’s a lot of revelation. Musically, it’s a full spectrum… The musicianship on this project and the people that gravitated towards it, I couldn’t be happier.”

Beyond music, Scott continues to make waves on screen. She recently appeared as herself on Abbott Elementary and is set to star in Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again? later this year.

With To Whom This May Concern, Jill Scott reaffirms her place as one of music’s most vital and enduring voices—returning not just with new songs, but with a statement years in the making.
