Award-winning, multi-diamond-selling superstar Cardi B has officially released her highly anticipated new single “Imaginary Playerz”, the second offering from her upcoming sophomore album Am I The Drama?, out everywhere September 19th. Produced by DJ SwanQo, Sean Island, and OctaneThisThatGas, the track arrives with a bold companion visual co-directed by Cardi B herself alongside Patience Foster.
To celebrate the release, Cardi B will host a special takeover on Apple Music Radio live from their new Los Angeles studio, delivering a one-hour block of hand-curated programming. In addition, Cardi has once again sold out a run of limited-edition merch box sets in partnership with her joint venture, including an exclusive WWE collaboration.
The release follows a landmark summer for the superstar. Fresh off her showstopping WWE hosting debut at SummerSlam on August 2nd, Cardi previewed new music from her forthcoming album onstage, igniting even more anticipation for Am I The Drama?. Her first single from the project, “Outside”, became an instant smash—debuting in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marking her 13th Top 10 career hit. The track also soared to #1 on Apple Music during its release weekend, giving Cardi her first chart-topper on the platform since the multi-platinum “Up.”
Earlier this year, Cardi delivered the fiery single “Enough (Miami)”, following her viral “Like What (Freestyle)”, and continuing the momentum after her blockbuster collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “Bongos.” This came after the pair’s historic cultural phenomenon “WAP” (2020), which broke records across Apple Music and the Billboard Hot 100, achieved multiple award wins including Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Song at the American Music Awards, and amassed billions of streams worldwide.
