Beloved musical group, The Marsh Family, returns with exciting news for fans worldwide, announcing their debut album Hollow Chapters alongside the release of their first single, A New Way.
The family group first captured global attention at the beginning of the pandemic six years ago when their musical videos went viral online. Their blend of humor, creativity, and heartfelt performances quickly earned them an international following. Now, the Kent-based family of six is stepping into a new chapter with their first full-length collection of original music.
Hollow Chapters is a deeply reflective and emotionally rich project centered on themes of resilience, personal journeys, and the connections that shape human experience. The album features songs written and performed by the entire family: father Ben, mother Danielle, sons Alfie and Tom, and daughters Ella and Tess. Known for their multi-instrumental talents and distinctive vocal harmonies, the group continues to showcase the warmth and authenticity that first drew listeners to their work.
Musically, the album moves across a wide sonic landscape. While rooted in a vintage, organic folk-pop style, Hollow Chapters also explores acoustic protest songs, funk influences, and reggae rock textures. Natural imagery, storytelling, and poetic inspiration run throughout the project, creating a body of work that feels both personal and universal.
The record touches on a range of emotional and social themes. Tracks draw inspiration from mythology, nostalgia, and personal reflection, while others respond to contemporary events and global struggles. To celebrate the release, The Marsh Family will host special launch concerts and a livestream event in April 2026. The performances will take place at The Garlinge Theatre and The Alexander Centre, giving fans a chance to experience the new music live.
The album was made possible through a successful crowdfunding campaign in autumn 2025, which also enabled the production of the band’s first limited-edition vinyl pressing.
