Smag På Dig Selv Release New Viking Anthem ‘Let’s Go!’

Denmark’s wildest trio Smag På Dig Selv (SPDS) are back, and they’ve brought the thunder with “Let’s Go!”, a roaring Viking anthem for the autumn season. Blending electronic chaos, throat singing, and an electro punch courtesy of chart-topping Danish producer TMI Tammi, the single marks the second taste of their highly anticipated new album set for release in March 2026.

Written during an atmospheric October 2024 retreat in a 200-year-old North Zealand summer cottage, the track’s origins are as moody and raw as its sound. What began as a techno experiment transformed into something far more primal — a sonic storm that fuses Viking grit with ambient introspection. The band — Oliver Lauridsen (tenor sax), Thorbjørn Øllgaard (baritone/bass sax, vocals), and Albert Holberg (drums) — let the quiet of nature seep into their process, allowing “Let’s Go!” to evolve organically into a hybrid of their experimental roots and newfound cinematic energy.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2018, SPDS have earned a reputation as one of Denmark’s most fearless and explosive live acts, fusing acoustic techno, punk energy, and 90s dance nostalgia into something wholly their own. Their performances have lit up stages from Roskilde Festival and SummerStage in Central Park, New York, to SXSW, The Great Escape, and Eurosonic.

Following the success of their 2024 debut album ‘SPDS’, the trio now turn their gaze toward the future with a new full-length coming in 2026 — to be celebrated with their Christiania World Tour, a homecoming series of shows right in the heart of the Freetown that birthed them.

With “Let’s Go!”, Smag På Dig Selv reaffirm their commitment to pushing boundaries — transforming two saxophones and a drum kit into a full-blown sonic universe. It’s chaotic. It’s cinematic. It’s Viking electro at its most primal.
