Selkolla Releases Dreamlike Neo-Classical Single “Solarium”

Neo-classical pianist Selkolla unveils her new single, Solarium, a moss-soft, dreamlike reverie that blends classical influences with a distinct modern voice. Drawing inspiration from Erik Satie, Frédéric Chopin, and Joep Beving, the track immerses listeners in a pining melody suspended above a sparse, waltz-like accompaniment, exploring the elusive, watery nature of memory.

“‘Solarium’ was written with a memory of sun on water, the feeling of being suspended and weightless in a deep green lake,” says Selkolla. “It’s a sonic portal for the ache that feels ever-present within me, a permanent nostalgia.”

Recorded in East LA with Chris Sorem at Nest Recorders, the single captures a warm, dark, and cinematic sound, inviting listeners into an intimate and reflective space.

Selkolla’s project marks a return to the formative hours of her girlhood, when she first learned to communicate through melody. Her compositions are designed as soundtracks, meditations, and gentle escapes, each track forming its own encapsulated world.
