Robert Ross Celebrates Real Beauty in New Single “Better With Time”

Canadian-Australian singer-songwriter Robert Ross returns with his heartfelt new single, Better With Time—a poignant reflection on aging, self-acceptance, and embracing life’s natural journey. Serving as the title track from his forthcoming album, the song follows the success of his #1 National Radio airplay hit, Drink ‘Em Down, solidifying Ross’ place as a rising force in modern country music.

With Better With Time, Ross challenges society’s obsession with youth and perfection, instead celebrating the depth, resilience, and beauty that come with growing older. “If people could see themselves through the eyes of those who love them unconditionally, they’d realize they are beautiful just the way they are,” he explains. Written in collaboration with Grammy award-winning producer Gil Grand, the track blends soulful melodies with heartfelt lyrics, delivering an emotionally resonant message that encourages listeners to find self-worth beyond superficial expectations.

Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, Ross draws from his traditional country and folk roots, channeling the storytelling styles of Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Randy Travis, and Sawyer Brown. His music is deeply personal, shaped by 11 years of military service, including 3.5 years overseas, which gave him a profound understanding of resilience and human connection—key themes woven into his songwriting.

Since relocating to Australia in 2009 and becoming a citizen in 2014, Ross has built a dedicated international following, earning multiple #1 hits and award nominations with his debut album, It’s Never Too Late. Now based in Nashville, he is entering a new chapter, crafting a sophomore album that stays true to his roots while embracing a broader, global audience.

With past hits like Jack Daniels and Drink ‘Em Down, Robert Ross has proven his ability to connect with listeners through authentic storytelling and timeless country melodies. Better With Time is another testament to his artistry—an anthem of self-acceptance that reminds us all that life, like fine whiskey, only gets better with age.
