Los Angeles–based artist and songwriter JULITH has unveiled her latest single, Right From Left, a sharp and cathartic track that transforms frustration into a powerful statement of self-empowerment. The release follows earlier singles JAB!, Pure Spite, and Cut From the Sequel, all of which build momentum toward her debut EP This Is A Kindness, arriving April 10.
On “Right From Left,” JULITH blends biting social commentary with personal reflection, addressing the overwhelming noise of unsolicited opinions and societal expectations. Through candid lyricism and bold sonic choices, the song challenges the pressure to conform while advocating for personal autonomy and trusting one’s own instincts.
Formerly performing under her given name Julia Pratt, JULITH represents a creative rebirth for the artist. The new moniker signals a shift toward radical honesty and fearless self-expression, themes that run throughout This Is A Kindness. Across the EP’s seven tracks, she explores healing, accountability, and the complexities of personal growth, delivering a genre-defying body of work shaped by strength and vulnerability.
JULITH’s artistry is closely tied to her life experiences. Having moved frequently during childhood and confronted the realities of addiction, recovery, and personal healing at a young age, she first turned to poetry as an outlet before evolving into songwriting. That instinct to reflect and document life’s challenges remains central to her music today.
Beyond her work as an artist, JULITH is also a survivor and active advocate who volunteers with nonprofit organizations supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, while also promoting mental health and substance abuse awareness. Through both her advocacy and music, she continues to use her voice to inspire resilience, honesty, and empowerment.
