After two years of careful crafting, Gianfranco GFN finally opens the doors to his expansive new world with GIOMANÈ, his fifth studio album — and it’s a journey worth taking slowly. This is not a rushed project or a trend-chasing release. Instead, GIOMANÈ feels lived-in, warm, and deeply human, shaped by time, travel, and collaboration.
The adventure began back in autumn 2022 with the release of “Sing The Song,” the spark that ignited what would grow into a 13-track album recorded between Switzerland and Côte d’Ivoire. From there, the sound kept evolving, track by track, until the full GIAZZ! universe revealed itself — a groove-forward fusion of Soul, Pop, Funk, Blues, and touches of Acid-Jazz, all wrapped in an organic, live-band feel.
What really defines GIOMANÈ is its sincerity. Each song tells a story rooted in everyday experiences — love, life, movement, and adventure — without leaning on politics or preaching. It’s timeless music built on emotion rather than agenda. The compositions are unmistakably GFN’s, supported by lyrics written alongside collaborators Alan Jackson, Patrizia Viccaro, Vladimir Carbone, David Caraccio, and Gianfranco GFN himself.
The album’s richness also comes from its people. Fifteen musicians from different backgrounds contributed their own colors to the project, giving the record depth and personality. Recording sessions unfolded at Le Bocal Studio in Boudry with sound engineer David Caraccio, while the horn sections were captured in Côte d’Ivoire, arranged by saxophonist and orchestrator JB-Moundele. Final mixing and mastering took place in Italy at Angels Wings Studio, handled by Nico Oderico, tying the whole journey together.
Launched live on November 28, 2024, in GFN’s hometown of Biel/Bienne (CH) with GFN & The Mystery Band, GIOMANÈ feels less like a destination and more like an invitation — to listen, to feel, and to groove without distractions.
