Brazilian singer, songwriter, DJ, and dance graduate Alhocca unveils her debut EP, Malvada Filosofia, a six-track tour de force that seamlessly blends pagodão baiano, samba rock, rap, and Afrobeats into a defiant celebration of Black womanhood and artistic freedom. Following her 2023 breakout hits “Ela Humilha” and “Sem Tempo pra Brincar”, this project marks Alhocca’s evolution from minimal beats to a rich, live-band sound—a vibrant manifesto that refuses to be boxed in.
The EP opens with a pagodão baiano rework of “Baile“, instantly setting the tone with its percussive fire. But the real knockout is “Dissbocada” (a clever pun on “outspoken”), a scorching diss track targeting the music industry’s misogyny, packed with razor-sharp rhymes. The spiritual “Dádiva“, featuring Bruna Liviero, merges atheist and spiritual worldviews over a hypnotic groove, while “Ameaça Atraente” (Attractive Threat) drips with Afrobeat swagger and spatial harmonies.

Alhocca saves her most personal moments for the back half: “Comecei e não vou mais parar” (I Started and Won’t Stop) is a samba-rock tribute to Jorge Ben Jor, layered with jaguar growls and her husband Roggermx’s ukulele—a metaphor for her unshakable resilience. The EP closes with “Não me olha assim” (Don’t Look at Me Like That), a tender love letter to Roggermx, proving even a “malvada” (wicked philosopher) has a soft heart.
Alhocca’s journey is one of grit and courage. From her roots in hip-hop dance groups to her multidimensional 2023 solo show at Sesc DF as director, producer, choreographer, and costume designer, she’s a force of nature. Her 2025 performances at Favela Talks, Rua 6 in Rio, and the Black Consciousness Festival, alongside Seu Jorge and Raça Negra, prove her unstoppable rise. A dance graduate who left a Physical Education scholarship to pursue her passion, Alhocca uses art to transform, supporting causes like Lagoinha’s defense and modeling for Salomão Ferretti Wear’s LGBTQIA+ activism. Her dream is a self-sustaining institute for diverse artists, led by women and youth, where art changes lives, starting with children.
With nine music videos, festival appearances like Favela Talks, Consciência Negra, BBDW, Baile da Rua6, and a 2024 Cine de Expressão win, Alhocca’s iconic afro and voice, blending strength and delicacy, make her unforgettable. Malvada Filosofia, produced with Todd Henrique and Rodrigo da Cruz, is her boldest statement yet.
Alhocca’s Malvada Filosofia is a genre-bending manifesto of rhythm, rage, and resilience. Alhocca isn’t just making music—she’s making history.
